Overview

This position supports the development of institutional impact by helping to integrate KU IRISE virtues into the campus environment. The position focuses on expanding opportunities for character development across both curricular and co-curricular undergraduate experiences. The role involves collaboration with campus partners, contributing to program development, and supporting initiatives that promote excellence, resilience, integrity, and other core values central to KU IRISE. Responsibilities

Recruit student organization leaders to participate in two IRISE workshops per semester during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Engage at least 10 student and Greek life organizations each semester to participate in IRISE programming, including competitions and award ceremonies recognizing organizations that effectively promote IRISE virtues Provide support and guidance to student and Greek life organizations in developing and implementing IRISE virtues-based programming Assist in the planning, coordination, and judging of IRISE-related competitions Collaborate with KU publicity personnel to create and maintain an IRISE Virtues Project website Manage and grow the IRISE Virtues social media presence to promote events, initiatives, and student engagement Coordinate with KU publicity personnel to maintain a visible IRISE Virtues presence through posters, banners, and other promotional materials across campus Required Qualifications

Availability to complete the required work during the 2025–2026 academic year, as indicated on application materials Ability to work collaboratively, as demonstrated through prior work experience or reference checks, as indicated on application materials Preferred Qualifications

Completed course work or other background in ethics, character development, or values formation. Previous work on an IRISE project. Position Requirements

During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments). Employment Conditions

1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR. Application Details
