Join University Health KC as a Social Worker - OB Clinic (LMSW or LCSW) in our Social Work Services department at UH Truman Medical Center. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00a-4:30p). We are seeking a compassionate and driven Social Worker to provide critical support services to patients and their families in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care, outpatient, and long-term care. Responsibilities: Assess and address the psychosocial needs of patients and families. Coordinate discharge planning, referrals, and protective services as needed. Provide crisis intervention, pre-admission screening, and long-term care support. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patient-centered care. May participate in program development, professional training, and student supervision. Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program. Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Missouri, or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with eligibility to obtain LCSW within 90 days of hire. At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience for LCSW candidates. Solid understanding of clinical theory and social work practice. Research and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication, including public speaking. Ability to work across diverse populations and healthcare teams.
