Business Control Officer (Japanese front office)

Prestigious international bank seeks a Bilingual Japanese Business Control Officer (BCO) at Asian Corporate Banking Department. The BCO is a business-aligned change agent and risk management individual contributor. The BCO provides guidance on processes and control design, assesses risks across the transaction lifecycle, and supports interaction with 2nd Line of Defense functions including Risk Management and Compliance. Responsibilities:

Lead and provide expert guidance on assessment of processes and controls across the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, proactively assessing threats, vulnerabilities, and potential incidents. Perform process re-engineering to improve efficiency and strengthen controls within the Bank’s Japanese and Asian Corporate Banking business. Coordinate interactions between Japanese and Asian Corporate Banking Department and 2nd Line of Defense functions, Internal Audit, and Regulators regarding processes and controls. Manage risk appetite, limits, guidelines, and issue management for the Japanese and Asian Corporate Banking business. Conduct risk management framework assessments supporting the Department GM. Support 1st Line of Defense via issue management and root cause analysis. Coordinate risk assessments like RCSAs with control functions. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, overseeing related processes. Requirements and Qualifications:

Fluent in Japanese. Knowledge of process and control design, including process mapping and reengineering. Knowledge of risk assessment and issue management. Knowledge of change management and continuous process improvement practices. Benefits:
