Location 100 Bowman Drive, Voorhees, NJ

Work Schedule 1st Shift, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Full time, 40 hrs per week)

Job Summary Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system. Performs accurate and thorough registrations and provides excellent customer service as the first point of contact.

Responsibilities

Obtains copies of patient insurance cards and identification, and enters demographic, financial, insurance, and clinical information into the computer system; verifies completeness and accuracy of all data.

Obtains signatures on all required documents for consent, medical necessity, state, federal, and regulatory documentation and processes all necessary paperwork.

Correctly collects and processes copays, deductibles, co‑insurance, and deposits from patients and facilitates resolution of billing issues by liaising with patient accounting and insurance representatives.

Identifies and provides appropriate referrals and payment options to patients who need financial assistance.

Provides additional office support including telephones, scheduling, typing, filing, etc.

Qualifications

1 year of customer service in a professional setting (retail/food service excluded); medical office or admissions experience preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; positive demeanor; ability to handle stressful situations and multiple tasks.

Basic typing, computer and word processing skills.

Required Education High School diploma.

Preferred Training / Certification One year of Epic system experience highly preferred.

Compensation Hourly rate $17.97 – $25.20 (actual rate varies by experience).
