Position Purpose:
This position’s purpose is to support The Grief Center (TGC) in pursuit of achieving our mission, to provide a safe and supportive environment for those who grieve. The Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Support (AA) has responsibility for ensuring that an office is organized and that daily tasks are completed efficiently. This position works with all departments. The Front Desk Associate is the first impression of The Grief Center and needs to be able to communicate the mission, values, and culture of the organization. Willing to take on extra administrative tasks, as and when required by the Administrative Manager (AM) and/or the ED.
Work Schedule: Friday, 11AM - 1:30PM (2.5 hours weekly)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and screen visitors with grace and courtesy.
Direct Tenant clients to the Wellness Suite waiting area and/or announce to Tenant as per their preferred method.
Notify appropriate TGC staff of visitors and either have them wait in the lobby or escort them to the appropriate staff member’s office.
Answer and screen telephone calls, forwarding calls or taking messages as appropriate.
Sign for deliveries and forward all materials delivered to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English with attention to all spelling, punctuation, grammar, and neatness, as well as professional language and demeanor.
Ability to communicate orally in Spanish, with attention to professional language and demeanor.
Ability to relate well in cross-cultural environments.
Standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, scanner, voicemail, email).
Able and willing to work an irregular and flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on Agency needs.
Microsoft 365 Intermediate Skills.
MS Word Intermediate Skills.
MS Excel Intermediate Skills.
MS PowerPoint Intermediate Skills.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. The workplace requires use of a computer and standard office equipment. Required to lift or move up to 25 pounds unassisted and 26+ assisted.
