Locum Social Worker – Safeguarding – Medway, UK – Up to £38 per Hour, Contract: 3-month. This opportunity offers a locum position as a Social Worker within the Safeguarding team. Based in Medway, there is potential to gain meaningful experience on a 3-month contract. Responsibilities
Screen safeguarding concerns and initially gather information to assess needs. Conduct Section 42 Enquiries, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met to protect vulnerable adults. Perform thorough risk assessments and develop effective safety plans tailored to each situation. Undertake mental capacity assessments to ensure proper support and action plans are in place. Apply the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal, focusing on outcomes that improve the individual’s life. Collaborate actively with key partner agencies to provide holistic and effective safeguarding interventions. Requirements for the Social Worker
Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in social work. Be currently registered with Social Work England. Demonstrate significant frontline experience working as a qualified Social Worker within the UK Social Services. The ability to drive and have business cover is essential for this hybrid role based in Medway. Experience in adult safeguarding work is necessary, including engagement in the aforementioned tasks and responsibilities. Location and Experience
