Responsibilities
You will optimize patient outcomes and quality of life throughout the blood cancer/ cellular therapy trajectory and participate in formal training in the management of patients receiving cellular therapy.
You will provide mental, emotional, and behavioral support to patient, caregiver, and family, and provide counseling for adjustment to illness, depression, anxiety, survivorship, grief, loss, advanced care planning and end of life decision making.
You will perform pre-transplant psychosocial evaluations, high-risk screening, and ongoing evaluation on all blood cancer/BMT patients and identify psychosocial factors that may affect outcomes and develops clinical interventions based on needs.
You will assume accountability and responsibility for the quality, continuity, and coordination of psychosocial care across the care continuum and participate in discharge and transitional care planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work required with Clinical Social Work Concentration (LCSW).
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Current license as a clinical social worker in the state of Nevada.
Minimum of 2 years of post-master’s degree experience in a clinical setting required.
3+ years relevant experience in clinical social work in Oncology acute care preferred.
