Desired Attributes: An understanding of motors, pumps, fans, and bearings is desirable (general mechanical aptitude). At least 2-4 years of vibration testing and analysis is desired, with ISO certification and Emerson/CSI test equipment (2130/2140) experience a plus. Duties Collect & analyze vibration data on various industrial equipment (motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, etc.) Understand spectral and time-waveform components for fault identification Perform bump tests to determine natural frequencies Perform cross-phase analysis to determine comparative motion and differentiate similar faults Perform infrared thermography surveys on electrical systems. Oil sampling and electrical testing are also part of the role, with OJT available. Responsibilities include analysis, reporting, scheduling, and equipment maintenance. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various environmental conditions, and travel for work. Administrative duties involve basic computer skills, good writing, planning, and submitting reports.
