Plant Operations Manager
for a growing, precision-driven manufacturing company based in
Racine, WI . This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing
financial performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
within a
high-mix, low-volume job shop
environment. Overview
Position summary: Lead all day-to-day plant operations with a focus on
P&L performance , productivity, and quality. Responsibilities
Own financial outcomes including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability improvement. Drive
Lean Manufacturing ,
5S , and continuous improvement initiatives across all production areas. Optimize utilization of
people, machines, and materials
to ensure on-time delivery and efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new processes, technologies, and workflow enhancements. Recruit, develop, and coach team members to promote accountability, engagement, and safety. Ideal Background
Proven success
managing a machining or job shop environment
with direct
P&L
responsibility. Strong understanding of
CNC operations, tooling, fixturing, and precision manufacturing methods . Experience driving
operational metrics , cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of
ERP systems
(Plex a plus),
MS Office , and quality management systems. Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance
strategic planning
and
