FUNCTION OF WORK: To perform specialized statewide functions at Headquarters including staff development services/technical help desk functions, compliance audit functions, agency forms coordinator or Safety/CPTP program coordinator functions. Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent plus three years of experience or training in any field.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

. Job Duties: Possesses knowledge of specialized Office of Motor Vehicle operations. Serves as regulatory consultant over statewide public tag agents and their operational staff.
Assists by providing interpretation of laws, rules, policies, and procedures and guidance of computer transaction processing for vehicle registration and titling, driver's license and reinstatement.
Conducts compliance reviews of public tag agents for procedural, statutory and program compliance.
Examines documentation accepted, sales/use tax and fees collected, and computer transactions processed for driver's license, vehicle registration and reinstatement programs.
Verifies inventory maintained in the office.
Maintains appropriate documentation, prepares reports of compliance review findings and confers with supervisor regarding compliance review findings.
Serves as the forms coordinator for the Office of Motor Vehicles by requisitioning all agency forms, editing proofs, and assisting in the development of or revisions to new and existing forms.
Acts as liaison between the Office of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Public Safety Risk Management Coordinator.
Coordinates safety programs for the Office of Motor Vehicles, which includes investigating accidents and work-related injuries to determine causes/circumstances and to recommend remedial actions, reviewing construction plans and inspecting office buildings, equipment and job sites for compliance with safety and fire codes, notifying supervisors of safety hazards, and establishing and conducting education and training programs for safety related issues.
Serves as the liaison between the Office of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Public Safety CPTP Coordinator.
Coordinates the Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP) for the Office of Motor Vehicles personnel statewide, including scheduling all CPTP classes and events, compiling all CPTP activity reports, reviewing course outlines, and making suggestions to Human Resources as to the need to analyze a specific course outline for the Office of Motor Vehicles.
Serves as regulatory consultant over statewide driving schools and their operational staff.
Assists by providing interpretation of laws, rules, policies, and procedures and guidance of administering the driver education program.
Conducts compliance reviews of driving schools for procedural, statutory, and program compliance. Examines documentation accepted for application, licensing, testing and attendance.
Maintains appropriate documentation, prepares reports of compliance review findings, and confers with supervisor regarding compliance review findings.
