What You'll Do as a Preventative Maintenance Technician:
Perform
scheduled preventative maintenance based on a task list on mechanical milking equipment
Provide
excellent customer support during farm visits and communicate any service needs beyond your scope.
Coordinate
with the service and sales teams when follow‑up work is required.
Manage
your own workflow around farm milking downtime schedules, usually early mornings or late afternoons.
Produce
accurate service reports and bill for all time and parts used.
Maintain
detailed maintenance records and communicate regularly with your Service Manager.
Participate
in manufacturer training and ongoing education as requested.
Follow
all company and farm biosecurity procedures
Build
positive, long‑term customer relationships to represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
Work
full‑time with a varied schedule planned monthly, traveling within a 90‑minute radius of the shop.
Our Ideal Preventative Maintenance Technician:
Experienced:
Minimum one year of experience in a trade such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, automation; dairy experience is a plus. Brings strong troubleshooting ability and a solid understanding of tools and equipment. Completion of a trade school training in a related field is a plus.
Organized & Detailed:
Manages time effectively, prioritizes tasks, and completes work accurately under pressure.
Good Communicator:
Builds positive relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates while maintaining a courteous, respectful attitude.
Independent & Reliable:
Works well independently while staying accountable and dependable as part of the team.
Tech‑savvy:
Comfortable using Microsoft, Google, and related software systems for reporting and communication.
Active:
Able to lift, push, or pull up to 70 lbs.; climb ladders or scaffolding; bend, kneel, stretch, or crawl; and perform fine hand manipulation.
Must hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
