Overview

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a

Continuous Improvement Specialist

to design, develop and support the efficiency and continuous improvement of new and existing production processes, and assess the effectiveness of the organization’s quality processes. Identifies problem areas, develops improvement plans, executes them and analyzes results.

Responsibilities

Reviews production processes, company policies, worker habits and organization systems for efficiency

Documents production processes such as process mapping, material specifications, drawings, and standard work

Analyzes quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement

Prioritizes problem areas

Partners with management and staff to develop improvement plans to address inefficiencies and maximize output

Recommends and implements plans to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and improve safety

Implements improvement plans, creates training, helps employees, and/or leads new initiatives

Analyzes and monitors results to determine effectiveness and impact of initiatives using Lean principles

Leads cross-functional project teams

Supports operational priorities in safety, quality, delivery, production, and cost containment

Leads Kaizen events

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in leading significant continuous improvement projects or programs in a Lean-Six Sigma environment

Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and project management skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

PC knowledge; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), e-mail and internet

Working knowledge of LEAN principles or other continuous improvement skills

Excellent organizational skills

Skilled at workflow analysis

Experience with high volume manufacturing

Strong project planning and management skills to prioritize tasks and establish frameworks for managing areas of responsibility

Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment

Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field preferred

Work Environment

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; risk of electrical shock; noise levels are usually moderate and occasionally loud

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear; may be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, peripheral, color, depth perception; ability to adjust focus

Compensation

Salary: $76,000-$105,000 yearly

Total compensation includes health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, generous paid time off and holidays, remote work stipend (where eligible), 401(k) with employer match up to 4%, education support, safety reimbursement, referral bonuses, and bonus plan for all full-time employees
