Overview
Service Repair Technician (Assembly Shop)
– SEW-EURODRIVE - USA. This role involves hands-on assembly, repair, and service activities within the assembly shop and the Returned Goods Authorization Department. Responsibilities
Position involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up. The main focus of the position at this time is in the Returned Goods Authorization Department. Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives, maintain parts stock between assembly lines, putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up. Must read and understand supporting documentation for the work area, use calipers, depth & paint millage gauges, and visually inspect all work and rework as necessary. Assess each situation and do not perform any tasks which s/he feels is unsafe, on which s/he has not received training, or engage in any unsafe work practices. Report any unsafe condition to his/her manager. May be required to travel on Company business domestically as well as overseas. May be required to stay overnight for extended periods, and may conduct business in the evenings, weekends, and holidays and outside of normal business hours. Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and driving record satisfactory to SEW-EURODRIVE or otherwise be able to transport to and from various locations, including customer facilities. Must comply with all current ISO Quality and Work Instructions for the job, all Company Safety rules, and all other Company rules, policies and procedures. Pay and Work Schedule
Pay Range $21 - $30 (hour) A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions. Qualifications and Requirements
Must read and understand supporting documentation for the work area, use calipers, depth & paint millage gauges, and visually inspect all work and rework as necessary. Assess each situation and do not perform any tasks which you feel are unsafe, have not received training for, or engage in unsafe work practices. Report unsafe conditions to your manager. Willingness to travel domestically and overseas as required; valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
