Location and Compensation Location: Hudson Falls, NY
Pay Range: $62,000 – $70,000 per year (Full‑time, full‑time)
Position Summary The Project Coordinator supports Project Managers and Superintendents on New York and Vermont DOT projects. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate material quantities, reviewing field logs, and maintaining project documentation in a heavy‑highway asphalt paving environment.
Essential Functions
Review plans and technical documents to understand project scope and schedule.
Monitor costs and project progress.
Maintain and update all project documentation.
Create, manage, and track RFIs and submittals from the field to the architect/engineer.
Assist in creating and distributing the project schedule.
Obtain project permits and perform other assigned tasks as directed by the Project Manager/Superintendent.
Coordinate project change‑order management and negotiation.
Document weekly project owner meetings and decisions.
Assist with site safety and environmental coordination.
Support the job cost accountant with monthly subcontractor billing and pay applications.
Manage and assign CBYD tickets.
Requirements
1–3 years of construction experience (preferred).
Knowledge of construction operations and specifications.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience (preferred).
Proficient computer skills.
Excellent organizational, time‑management, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Travel & Work Environment Travel: On‑site visits are frequent with potential travel ranging from 40% to 100% during peak season. In the off‑season, the role primarily works from the office, with occasional field visits (0%–40% travel).
Physical Demands: The position includes a hybrid work environment combining office duties and field work at construction sites. Tasks involve lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive motion, standing or sitting for long periods, and operating heavy machinery.
