PEPI (Private Equity Performance Improvement) focuses on improving operating results for middle market and large-cap private equity portfolio companies. The team develops deep functional skills and tailors solutions to client issues, with services including supply chain, transformation, manufacturing operations, interim management, M&A and CFO services. The PEPI Supply Chain group analyzes the supply chain process—strategic sourcing and procurement, logistics and distribution, and integrated demand and supply planning—to identify value creation opportunities and quantify EBITDA impact. The PEPI Supply Chain group is growing, with opportunities for career advancement, training, and exposure to international and domestic assignments. How You Will Contribute
You will help deliver large, complex client engagements by working with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies. The Senior Associate will participate in engagements in areas such as: Understand a client’s supply chain across manufacturing and distribution locations, baseline product flow, seasonality, operating costs, and key supply chain processes. Assess improvement opportunities and define supply chain strategies and tactics to meet growth and financial objectives. Analyze supply chain network design and footprints, including warehousing/distribution costs, inventory flows, and network optimization opportunities. Develop high-level planning models for inventory optimization across networks. Assist in transportation and warehousing sourcing events, including spend baselines, requirements, RFI/RFP processes, and contracting; 3PL experience is preferred. Assess inventory planning processes and systems to optimize service levels and working capital. Develop transformation plans for transportation, freight optimization, warehousing and distribution, with implementation timing and benefit estimation (OPEX, inventory, service). Professional skills Strong written, oral, and analytical skills Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Structured project management (time, team, work streams) Initiative, drive, and critical thinking Ability to deliver projects on time and with quality Flexible, creative thinking and client relationship skills Excellent presentation skills Qualifications 4-7+ years of consulting or industry operating experience Previous advisory experience from a top-tier firm, niche advisory, or Big-4 preferred Hands-on experience in distribution/logistics optimization, transportation/warehousing sourcing, 3PL, or production/inventory planning Strong fact-gathering, analytical, and process-mapping abilities Travel flexibility based on project requirements Bachelor’s degree required Your journey at A&M
