About the Role As the Automotive Terminal Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations in line with AAR and automotive manufacturing standards. You’ll lead a team of Auto Unloaders, Inventory staff, and Office personnel, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer‑focused service. This role requires adaptability, strong decision‑making, and a commitment to safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead terminal operations following AAR and automotive guidelines.
Supervise and support staff: scheduling, delegating tasks, resolving issues.
Maintain high safety standards and enforce company policies.
Communicate with customers, railroads, and auto manufacturers.
Track and manage performance metrics.
Assist with unloading operations as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in auto loading/unloading preferred.
Minimum 2 years of management experience.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication and time management.
Team‑oriented with strong customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Able to pass a drug screen and federal background check (e‑RAILSAFE certification required).
Physically able to lift 40 lbs overhead and climb ladders up to 20 feet.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Work Schedule
Full‑time, salaried position.
Non‑standard hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
On‑call availability may be required.
Work Environment
Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Active rail and automotive equipment environment.
Safety awareness is critical.
