Lab Technician/Quality Specialist — Indianapolis, IN Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256 Compensation: $23/hr (overtime rate of time and a half, when applicable) Schedule: Monday–Friday, Second Shift (~2:00 PM to ~10:00 PM EST) Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401k, and a weekly pay structure Job Description posted by Apex Systems for a pharmaceutical manufacturing client. Screening and submission of qualified candidates will begin this week. Responsibilities

Conduct analyses of raw materials, packaging materials, and bulk, intermediate, and finished products from Quality Control, Chemical Manufacturing, and Production. Ensure all products meet established quality standards and specifications. Evaluate conformance to physical, performance, and chemical property specifications. Compile and document test data and results in accordance with standard procedures. Perform routine to semi-routine assignments with accuracy and attention to detail. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as required. Revise and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect current practices. Participate in project teams to support strategic initiatives under moderate supervision. Train new team members on applicable methods, procedures, and safety protocols. Competencies

Demonstrated specialized knowledge in a specific area, system, or equipment, supported by relevant training or certification. Ability to work independently under moderate supervision, following established procedures. Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and laboratory best practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent. Specialized or advanced training in science, electronics, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations. Competency in using standard software tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets). Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience. 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting. 1+ years of experience in a regulatory or compliance-driven environment. 1+ years of experience in process improvement initiatives. 1+ years of technical or scientific experience.
