Job Purpose The Production Line Lead is responsible for directing production and sanitation line functions. Individuals direct the hourly/daily activities of work area employees, while ensuring the production of all scheduled orders is completed per specification, GMP compliant, and in compliance with our Food Safety Policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Model and support the CandyCo Safety Culture and strive for 100% policy compliance
Manage and direct the daily activities of Production/Sanitation work area employees
Optimises the production of scheduled orders efficiently, product quality, and GMPs
Optimises the cleaning of the line efficiently and effectively
Maintain and improve production and sanitation cost-controls, headcounts, and production line efficiencies
Identifies and works to resolve production and sanitation line problems in a timely manner
Performs record‑keeping tasks, including inventory management utilizing Inventory Management System (IMS)
Training and supervising new production and sanitation line workers
Maintaining a fully operational, safe, clean, and tidy work‑area environment
Qualifications
Minimum of 1‑year experience in a lead position, directing production line activities
Must have an excellent Safety record and champion a Safety culture
Must have strong, positive leadership, communication, and organization skills
Bilingual skills preferred, not required (English, Spanish)
Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards
Excellent problem‑solving techniques
Keen sense of urgency in driving attainment of scheduled order
SAP, ROSS, PLEX, or other ERP environment skill and abilities a plus, or must be able to learn
Working Conditions
Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed
Must be able to work on a line that requires repetitive motion
Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends
Physical Requirements
A non‑slip resistant work shoe
Must be able to work all shifts as directed.
Pre‑shift stretch and exercises to be performed
Ability to work on their feet 8+ hours at a time
Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and safety gloves as needed
All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection
Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walking around the facility, lifting and carrying up to 50‑lbs unassisted, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting
Also requires the ability to: see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
Direct Reports This position has no direct reports, but has 5‑10 indirect reports.
