Kalamazoo College
The head coach for football is responsible for the organization and administration of the football program. Reporting to the director of athletics, this 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position provides:

One graduate assistant
Seven part‑time assistants
One volunteer assistant
Responsibilities In addition to the above, responsibilities include:
Recruiting and retaining academically and athletically talented students;
Managing an operational budget and fundraising;
Game scheduling and team travel arrangements;
Hiring, supervising, and developing an assistant coaching staff;
Partnering with the sports information director on public relations opportunities;
Knowledge of and commitment to all NCAA, MIAA, and institutional rules and regulations;
Instruct Physical Education classes as determined by the PE Department Chair and the Provost;
Academic advising of a select group of students;
Involvement in departmental and campus committees; and
Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree at minimum but a master’s degree is preferred, and many of the following traits:
A commitment to the student‑athlete experience;
Evidence of strong organizational and effective communication skills;
Current knowledge of NCAA regulations;
Ability to successfully recruit college‑level student‑athletes;
Previous coaching experience with a minimum of five years preferred;
Evidence of a commitment to academic excellence;
Ability to interact effectively with student‑athletes, colleagues, and the public;
A commitment to the welfare and well‑being of the student‑athlete;
Capable and willing to actively plan and participate in fundraising, promotions, and other similar endeavors as they relate to the football program and the entire Athletics Department.
