The
Manager, Data Conversion
oversees the team of Data Conversion Specialists and Conversion Consultants, owning the entire data conversion process and methodology for all dealership data: requirements, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, tools testing, and maintenance of templates. The
Manager, Data Conversion
is also responsible for coordinating with Research & Development to prioritize tool development, increasing efficiency and quality of conversions to transform massive amounts of data into our flagship product.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in development and execution of data extraction, transformation, and execution of load programs
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure data conversions meet customer requirements, also eliminating ad-hoc conversions (rework)
Continually find ways to improve customer experience by eliminating manual rekeying of transactions, due to final data cutoff periods
Understand and prioritize intelligence about competitive DMS systems to continually convert more data sets in less time from primary competitors; this includes making sure the detailed conversion process for competitive DMS systems is being documented
Prioritize the development and maintenance of conversion templates
Partner with other data conversion team members to prepare C# scripts to map data, recommendations, or alternatives for improving conversion programs
Attend ongoing sprint planning discussions with Research & Development department to automate and improve conversion tools
Perform data corrections through analyzing data for errors and formulating corrective procedures
Identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed
Ensure the team delivers client satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness and thorough communication
Utilize effective management, negotiation, and influencing skills both internal and externally to ensure a successful implementation of all solutions and services within scope
Obtain processes data, customer feedback, and associate feedback for incremental improvement opportunities to continually evolve the client experience for both installation and training of the solutions
Assist in developing and executing improved processes through established process improvement methods
Coach, mentor, and collaboratively build associate development plans and conduct ongoing feedback sessions to ensure progress
Qualifications
2+ years relevant and related work experience (2-5 years preferred)
2+ years experience coding with C# or other comparable scripting languages (2-3 years preferred)
1+ years experience using MS Visual Studio Code or MS Visual Studio
1+ years previous experience managing, leading and/or mentoring a team (1-3 years preferred)
Must have Strong SQL and Excel working skills
Proven ability to showcase strong communication with both internal and external partners (vendors, customers, executives, etc.)
Must have proven data extraction experience, along with strong data analytical skills
