Position Overview The
Business Development Representative (BDR)
plays a vital role in expanding our reach within the automotive dealership market. This position focuses on identifying and engaging new dealership prospects, building relationships with key decision-makers in Fixed Operations and Executive Management, and creating qualified opportunities for our sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect & Engage:
Identify and reach out to dealership decision-makers including Service Directors, Fixed Operations Managers, Controllers, and Dealer Principals.
Lead Qualification:
Conduct research to understand each dealership’s structure, performance goals, and opportunities for improvement.
Outreach & Scheduling:
Make outbound calls, send personalized emails, and use LinkedIn or CRM tools to initiate contact and schedule discovery meetings for the sales team.
Messaging Alignment:
Clearly communicate the value and impact of Armatus Dealer Uplift’s solutions, focusing on profitability improvement and operational results.
CRM Management:
Track all communication, activities, and lead progression accurately in the CRM.
Collaboration:
Partner closely with Account Executives, Sales Managers, and Marketing to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads and alignment on target accounts.
Market Awareness:
Stay informed on trends within the automotive industry — particularly in Fixed Operations, warranty reimbursement, and dealership performance management.
Performance Reporting:
Provide insights and regular updates on outreach metrics, opportunity pipeline, and conversion rates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of business development, inside sales, or lead generation experience — preferably within automotive, technology, or B2B services.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage dealership executives confidently.
Persistent, self‑motivated, and results‑driven with a strong sense of urgency.
Experience using CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) to manage outreach and pipeline.
Ability to handle objections and uncover business needs through consultative conversation.
Familiarity with dealership operations, Fixed Ops processes, or automotive service department metrics is a
plus .
Performance Metrics
Qualified discovery calls or demos scheduled per month
Lead‑to‑opportunity conversion rate
Activity volume and consistency (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach)
Contribution to overall pipeline growth and closed business
