Overview Ardagh Metal Packaging is a leading global supplier of sustainable, infinitely recyclable metal beverage cans. This role involves performing manual labor tasks in a manufacturing environment and supporting overall plant operations.
Responsibilities
Perform manual work such as cleaning, painting, loading, unloading, transferring and stacking materials and supplies, scrap and waste.
Use hand truck to move materials to and from storage areas.
Perform janitorial duties and various cleaning jobs using hand and powered equipment.
Other general labor tasks such as off-line wrapping of cans, sorting pallets, EOR slides, top frames, chipboards and other packaging materials for damage.
Keep work area clean, neat and orderly per 5S program.
Understand and follow procedures and work instruction related to this job function.
Recommend improvement ideas in all areas.
Record and maintain records as required.
Provide coverage for breaks and critical vacancies as needed.
Perform other tasks as needed.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Must be forklift certified
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Key Competencies / Physical Demands
Should be physically able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to perform manual jobs as required within the plant.
Exposed to moderate to high noise level.
Candidates must be able to work overnights and weekends.
Schedules are four days on and four days off continuously throughout the year.
Hours are twelve hour shifts with overtime paid after 8 hours worked.
Compensation and Benefits The starting hourly base rate for this role is
$23.77
and goes up to
$33.96
dependent on years of service within the company. The company also offers a Success Share Bonus that is dependent upon meeting metrics and targets. The final rate will be determined after considering relevant factors, including qualifications, experience, and work location where appropriate. Ardagh Metal Packaging also offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, prescription, dental and vision coverage with the opportunity to earn a medical/prescription premium reduction by completing a qualified wellness activity. The Company also offers a 401(k) Plan. Benefits may be amended at any time.
