Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
The client is requesting a Project Manager (PM) to work with program and IT to implement Budget Planning Tool project activities. This includes but not limited to facilitate meetings, manage the project milestones and deliverables and change request, manage risks and issues, track project budget, manage project scope, complete various reporting, etc. to ensure the project is completed on time and under budget.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in large organizations.
Experience developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts to devise solutions and prepare concise reports.
Experience overseeing development of SDLC artifacts and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong communication and presentation skills, including summarizing and escalating issues.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Agile methodology experience, overseeing and tracking development progress.
Experience managing projects with feature‑driven sprints.
Preferred: PMP certification.
Preferred: Experience implementing Agile for State of Texas agencies.
