About the Role We’re seeking a Project Coordinator (PC) to provide comprehensive support to our project managers and field teams for industrial construction projects. This full‑time, in‑office role in Cape Girardeau, MO 63780 requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll ensure smooth project execution through resource coordination, documentation management, and stakeholder communication, focusing on job setup, financial tracking, compliance, and client relationships.
Training Requirements This role requires the successful candidate to complete an initial training period at our St. Louis office. The training will last approximately 1 to 4 weeks, as needed, depending on the individual’s progress and onboarding requirements. All necessary lodging expenses will be covered by ACME Constructors Inc. during this required training period.
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
Project Lifecycle Support:
Set up new jobs in our systems and software
Facilitate project manager review meetings and participation in Project Coordinator Team Meetings
Review job cost reports
Submit AR billings
Review change orders, commitments, and commitment change orders for processing and ERP linking
Job close out
Financial Administration:
Assist with accounts receivable collection
Coordinate service call / any time and material paperwork and address client‑specific documentation/reporting needs
Review change orders and subcontractor compliance
Client & Partner Management:
Manage pre‑qualifications and customer portal setup
Request new business partners and required Certificates of Insurance (COIs)/bonds
Operations Support:
Provide support for bid documents, travel arrangements, and company events
Coordinate office meetings or lunches as needed
What You’ll Bring
Experience: Proven project coordination or admin background; 4+ years in construction support preferred
Familiarity with AIA G702/G703 billing and cost‑based billing is a plus
Skills: Strong organization, communication, and critical thinking; detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks effectively
Technical: Proficient in MS Excel and Office; experience with Procore, HH2, DocuSign, and CMIC (or Sage 300) highly preferred
Education: High school diploma required; degree preferred
Initial Training requirement: Ability to travel to and work from St. Louis, MO Office for a 1‑4 week initial training period, lodging provided
