Flexibility is required to meet the needs of our business and will require evening and weekend availability when needed. SUMMARY The

Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT)

performs maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration of Company aircraft, including airframes, engines, appliances, emergency equipment, and parts thereof, in accordance with its manual and federal regulations. Reports to the Manager of Maintenance. GENERAL DUTIES Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with Company General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Responsible and accountable for all work performed. Proper completion of all Company forms on all work assigned and performed. Proper handling of all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft while in the repair process. Ensure that all documentation is kept current with open discrepancies and completed corrective actions. Adequacy, correctness, and completion of all associated and required documentation for all maintenance or inspections performed. Identify and report mechanical interruption events at their location to the Manager of Maintenance. Timely and continuing submission of personal OJT tasks. Maintain the work area in a safe, clean, and operative condition and ensure all tools are accounted for at completion of all assigned tasks. Proper care and use of tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance. Immediately notify the Manager of Maintenance and other appropriate personnel of any condition that would compromise the airworthiness of Company aircraft. Maintain a valid Airframe, Powerplant, or Repairman Certificate. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC and/or DOM. Perform inspection tasks when exercising Designated Inspector privileges. Oversee the application of inspection and quality control methods and procedures to ensure safety and compliance. Recommend, initiate and verify corrective actions, control unsatisfactory conditions, and report to the DQ on any quality issues. Recommend corrective action on methods, materials, and workmanship to ensure the highest level of flight safety. Exercise individual initiative and sound judgment to determine airworthiness and the quality of maintenance work, ensuring all aircraft, engines, or appliances released for flight are airworthy. Conduct on-site monitoring of the maintenance process to ensure quality and compliance. Perform Required Inspection Items (RII) inspections to ensure workmanship quality. Ensure documentation of inspection work is complete and accurate. Perform Receiving Inspections (RI) of all incoming parts to ensure conformity and required documentation. Review Work Packages (WP) for designated RII items. Perform Technical Representative duties when assigned. Continuous surveillance of work in progress and performing audits and spot inspections as required. Approving all maintenance and inspection tasks prior to start of work and stopping work when a critical finding is discovered. Ensuring providers’ employees are properly trained and qualified for their tasks. Ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. Maintaining a progress log that accurately presents the current status of the aircraft and remaining work and inspection requirements. Attending and/or coordinating provider meetings related to aircraft work and inspection processes. Acting as a liaison between the Provider and the Company. Overseeing pre-flight inspections and accompanying test flight crews on functional check flights. Ensuring proper release of aircraft to and from service, including work package review. Assigned to a delivery inspection and performing acceptance checks for Company-acquired aircraft. QUALIFICATIONS Maintain a valid Airframe, Powerplant, or Repairman Certificate. Have 3 years of experience in a position responsible for returning airplanes to service and 1 year experience supervising Aviation Maintenance Technicians. Trained and qualified per GMM Section 4.2: Required Training. Experience maintaining large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats, in the same category and class of airplane as Gridiron Air.
