Clipp
Founding Product Manager (Senior / Staff Level)
Clipp is modernizing the $325B+ food supply chain. Our AI-powered ordering and payments platform connects suppliers and restaurants—digitizing procurement, reducing errors, and enabling local suppliers to operate with the same efficiency as national distributors.
We are VC-backed and currently closing our seed round to accelerate onboarding our 100+ supplier pipeline. Our founding team includes experience from Uber, Affim, and food industry veterans with 20+ years of operating experience. Clipp has a clear onboarding pipeline with secured contracts and pipeline and accelerating adoption.
We are based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in NYC and are in‑office 1 to 2 days a week.
Our mission is to reduce food costs and waste.
We’re looking for a
Senior/Staff Founding Product Manager
to join our growing product function and help scale Clipp’s core platform. You’ll take ownership of high-impact initiatives across supplier tools, restaurant ordering, and payments. This is a rare opportunity to step into a
high‑leverage product role
at an early stage where the product is already live in the market, will be in the hands of various customers with secured contracts, and is on path to scaling.
What You’ll Do
Refine and expand
the existing product roadmap across Clipp’s core workflows (supplier platform, restaurant ordering, payments, insights).
Partner closely with design, engineering, and operations
to define, prioritize, and deliver features that drive measurable business outcomes.
Lead user discovery and validation , deepening our understanding of supplier and restaurant workflows.
Translate strategy into clear specs, experiments, and success metrics
that keep the team aligned and accountable.
Uplevel our product systems —introducing scalable rituals, frameworks, and best practices without slowing down execution.
Collaborate directly with the founders
to shape long‑term strategy, go‑to‑market alignment, and fundraising narratives.
Who You Are
6–10 years of product management experience , with at least 3+ years leading 0→1 or early‑stage SaaS / marketplace products.
Proven ability to
ship products in ambiguous environments
with minimal structure or hierarchy.
Translate high‑level go‑to‑market and commercial goals into product roadmaps
that move metrics (expansion motion, packaging, pricing experiments, self‑serve vs enterprise splits).
Design for scale:
you prioritize multi‑tenant architecture tradeoffs, data schemas, API surface, permissions/roles, provisioning, and observability for thousands of users and millions of events.
Strong product intuition
and
customer empathy ; comfortable spending time with users in the field.
Deep customer empathy and analytical rigor —able to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable product decisions. Our customers have different archetypes than those seen at tech companies or office environments.
Partner fluently with engineering leads
on technical tradeoffs and sales/CS to understand the business.
Lead customer discovery with enterprise compliance teams and legal stakeholders —you convert regulatory nuance (SEC/FINRA requirements) into usable product constraints and compliant UX.
Ship product with a bias for measurable outcomes —clear PRDs, telemetry, launch playbooks, and postmortems that improve cycle time and quality.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Experience in B2B SaaS or vertical software for supply chain, logistics, or foodservice.
Exposure to payments, procurement, or inventory workflows.
Prior experience at a startup or as a founding PM.
Can speak Mandarin and Cantonese.
