Quality Control Inspector I - Mundelein, IL Medline Industries, LP is hiring a Quality Control Inspector I for the 1st Shift in Mundelein, IL. This role ensures the quality and safety of products in manufacturing and distribution environments.

Job Summary The QC Inspector I will inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards. You will conduct visual and measurement tests, document findings, and report defects or discrepancies. This role works closely with production or distribution teams to identify and resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.

Use measurement tools and equipment to test and verify product dimensions and specifications.

Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.

Collaborate with production or distribution teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, or determine product disposition.

Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Assess inbound damaged finished goods and repackage.

Support inventory stock checks, recall stock verifications, deviation handling, relabeling, product rework, pedigree verification, and other assigned projects.

May operate powered material handling equipment.

Read and interpret instructions, blueprints, and documents.

Comply with SOPs, Quality Systems, OSHA guidelines, and Medline’s rules and regulations.

Minimum Requirements Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

No Experience Required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Attention to detail.

Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.

Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, fractional to decimal conversions.

Ability to prioritize quickly in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to process relevant details, understand and prioritize them, and draw concise conclusions.

Basic computer skills.

Knowledge of quality regulations such as GMP, GDP, ISO, or 21CFR 820, 210‑211.

Position Requirements

Work in hot and cold environments.

Sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods, with frequent twisting and bending.

Wear PPE or company‑issued gowns for prolonged periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits Salary: $18.75 – $26.25 per hour. Actual pay depends on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Minimum wage and applicable thresholds apply.
