Summary:
Supervise and coordinate construction workers' activities on projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect work progress, equipment, and sites to verify safety and compliance with specifications. Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine requirements and plan procedures. Estimate materials and workforce needs for projects. Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers. Coordinate with supervisors, technical personnel, other departments, and contractors to resolve issues and plan activities. Order materials and supplies as needed. Locate, measure, and mark site locations for structures or equipment. Maintain records of personnel, production, and operations data. Assign tasks to workers based on project requirements. Enforce safety standards, including OSHA 30-hour construction safety training completed within the last 3 years. Operate motor vehicles as part of job duties. Walk long distances in rough terrain and work in extreme hot or cold environments. Lift up to 80 pounds and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or less routinely. Use and operate a total station for measurements. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise a crew of up to 10 workers. Requirements:
Ability to interpret blueprints, instructions, and manuals; perform routine report writing; communicate effectively; and enforce safety standards. Education and Experience:
