As part of our Institutional Quality and Performance Assurance (IQPA) Division, you will lead with strategic insight and operational excellence, spearheading innovative, customer‑focused programs to ensure proactive assurance across our organization.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven history in change management, cross‑functional collaboration, and impactful team leadership.
You will oversee critical assurance functions such as event reporting, risk management, and institutional audits while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, resilience, and growth.

What You Need Minimum Job Requirements:
Performance Assurance Leadership: Advanced‑level experience leading and implementing enterprise‑level performance assurance elements, such as audits/assessments, risk management, lessons learned, institutional metrics, corrective action development, and event reporting.
Staffing and Budget Experience: Experience as a line manager hiring, supervising, and developing staff and the planning and execution of developing and implementing staffing and budget plans for a group of approximately 20‑40 employees (including Team Leaders).
Change Management and Integration: Expertise in change management and integration, proven track record in team building, community leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills that include reporting on operations and business programs to Federal oversight partners and program owners.
Leadership/Influence: Expert‑level experience managing change and demonstrating ability to develop leaders.
Clearance: Active Q Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of related experience; Masters preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
LANL Mission/DOE/NNSA: Knowledge of LANL mission, programs, Laboratory Agenda, DOE directives such as SD 226.1C, NNSA Site Governance, DOE O 414.1D Admin Chg. 1.
Process Improvement: Applied experience using tools and methods to eliminate problems and improve working conditions.
Work Location: Onsite in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations at discretion of management.
Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees must serve continuous service to be eligible; the commitment is 1 year.

Additional Details Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance:
Position will be cleared to Q level. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
New‑Employment Drug Test:
The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new‑employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre‑offer.
Regular Position:
Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular‑status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants:
Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the required period of continuous service, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. Incentive Compensation Program:
Position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program. You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th. The annual distribution is prorated based on the number of months in the eligible position.
