Ensures that crew members are aware of and in compliance with established safety practices. Gathers parts needed and checks spare parts inventory by utilizing CMMS / EPAC system. Documents work in CMMS (parts and labor). Inspects work quality and updates the status of the Work Orders. Maximizes run time by ensuring that machines and the plant computer control system remain in good working order, coordinating maintenance personnel and contractors to optimize plant efficiencies. Maintains equipment information, repair files, and parts data for up-to-date accuracy. Oversees that maintenance tasks and projects are done in a safe and timely manner. Collects and processes predictive/reliability data from plant equipment to schedule repairs by maintaining good communication with production personnel and the Assistant Maintenance Superintendent. Gleans plant processes and procedures for better understanding of equipment utilization. Provides needed training related to repairs and safety to team members; ensures areas of responsibility are maintained in an orderly and safe manner. Complies with all applicable company standards and government regulations. Promptly reports unsafe conditions and communicates potential hazards to affected employees; reports incidents and conducts incident investigations when assigned (within 24 hours when practical). Performs job analysis, safety/risk analysis, and preventative maintenance analysis. Ensures orderly shift change by communicating issues and ongoing tasks with Assistant Maintenance Superintendents and maintenance staff. Performs inspection rounds and records visual damage and mechanical problems on shift. Notifies management of production problems. Participates in plant start-ups and shut-downs as directed. Additional Responsibilities
Keeps work area clean and free from safety hazards. Conducts toolbox talks and safety meetings as required. Accepts, carries out, and completes other duties as assigned. Supports plant start-ups and shut-downs as directed. What We Offer
