Overview
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Program Manager/Logistics Specialist must possess and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance and obtain their forklift certification license. They need to have a minimum of two years’ management experience with knowledge in set-up/rearranging class, conference, and dining rooms, as well as special events recommended. This position is located in the General Services Office, Executive Director, Office of Management and Administrative Services, Foreign Service Institute. Under the general supervision of the General Services Officer and with technical supervision provided by the Contracting Officer’s Representative, the incumbent is responsible for performing the Project Manager and Logistic Specialist duties.
Responsibilities, duties, and functions
Perform Project Manager and Logistics Specialist duties, functions, and responsibilities
Provide professional coordination and leadership in the execution of his/her duties and serves as the customer main point of contact for approved requests
Provide overall leadership and guidance for all vendor personnel assigned to the Facility Support Services contract task order
Responsible for the quality and efficiency of the task order to include both technical issues and business process operation
Assign tasking to contractor personnel
Supervises ongoing logistical efforts and manage the overall task order performance
Has the authority to commit vendor personnel for the warehouse logistics organization and make decisions for the vendor’s organization in response to Government issues or problems
Readily available to respond to customer questions, concerns, and comments, as well as be proactive in alerting the Government to potential contractual or programmatic issues
Responsible for all activities assigned by the COR, FSI Policy and Procedures and in accordance with GSO Work Orders, Room Reservation System and E-Supplies
Responsible for providing timely delivery of required daily, monthly, and quarterly deliverables to the customer
Represent LMT to the customer while acting as a liaison between the customer and LMT headquarters
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
U.S. Citizenship
Possess and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance
Maintain a Forklift Certification License
Fluency in the English language
Possess a valid driver’s license
Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Two years of management experience with Project Management Courses/Training recommended
Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50 pounds
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to follow technical direction as delivered by the CO, COR, ACOR, or GTM
Ability to interact effectively in a multicultural setting
Ability to exercise independent judgement when necessary
