The Sports Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of comprehensive youth and adult programs. Duties and responsibilities include providing direct support to ensure efficient operation of the program and its relation to sports. Youth and adult leagues, supporting interdepartmental programs, and administrative work corresponding to the position are vital to this role. Responsibilities

Manage adult leagues (including but not limited to Basketball, Pickleball, and Volleyball). Manage youth leagues (including but not limited to Basketball, Pickleball, Volleyball). Serve as an administrator for leagues, clinics, tournaments, and lessons of the department. Assist with enrollments in CRM system while maintaining organized records of programs. Process all payments in the department and work alongside the accounting department in the settling of events and contractors. Ensure the department budget is met in accordance with the outlined income and expense goals. Participate in a variety of agency-wide activities and events which may at times require hours outside the standard schedule. Be able to work independently and have the ability to multi-task and make use of time wisely. Able to communicate effectively with children, administrators, coworkers, and members. Must possess the strength and endurance required of the position, including the need to lift at minimum 40 pounds, stand for long periods, crouch, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather; subject to outside elements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment at all times. Fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Valley of the Sun J philosophies and guidelines. Schedule

The typical schedule of the Sports Coordinator can vary and ranges from 20-29 hours per week. The opportunity to become full-time is available upon performance. Requirements

Education, Training, Experience- Certification, Licensure

High school Diploma Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar field. CPR / First Aid certification (Certification may be provided by facility). Fingerprint Clearance Card (Certification may be provided by facility). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Management, training, and supervision of supporting staff. Computer, administrative, and organizational skills. Leadership and role model behavior. Program development. Understanding of all facets of sports, tournaments, rules, and culture. Ability to grow and adapt with the position and organization. Seniority level
