Overview Role: Store Team Lead — responsible for leading team members, driving operational excellence, and contributing to store performance in support of Academy’s Purpose.
Responsibilities
Lead execution of projects and initiatives; guide team members to deliver results.
Support customer satisfaction and store profitability through effective leadership and operational focus.
Refer to the specific job descriptions for related Lead roles as applicable: Logistics Team Lead, Operation Team Lead, Store Inventory Control Team Lead, Store Merchandising Team Lead, Sales Team Lead Softlines, Sales Team Lead Hardlines.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Work Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience; experience in supporting people and processes to drive operational excellence and sales targets.
Legal/Regulatory: Must meet federal and state requirements for selling and processing firearms transactions in applicable roles; must meet requirements to qualify to obtain/maintain FOID card (Illinois only).
Skills: Excellent customer service orientation; strong problem-solving and communication with customers and team members; ability to read and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, plan-o-grams and procedure manuals; prepare routine reports; apply common sense to follow instructions; working knowledge of inventory software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Other requirements
Must meet federal and state requirements for selling and processing firearms transactions, in applicable roles.
Must meet requirements to qualify to obtain/maintain FOID card (Illinois only).
Required to complete Firearms Sales Certification Training, in applicable roles.
Physical Requirements & Attendance
Acceptable hearing and vision to perform job duties.
Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and code of conduct.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds; frequently able to stoop, crouch, use fingers, grasp, push, pull, and lift up to 21 to 40 pounds; occasionally sit, climb, balance and lift 41 to 60 pounds.
