$70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Role Purpose
Define, maintain, and improve the internal Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standards, customer-specific requirements, and internal GKN Automotive systems. Support plant compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS):
Ensure the QMS remains effective, aligned with GKN Excellence System, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
Compliance & Documentation:
Administer policies, procedures, and documentation control to meet IATF, ISO 14001/45001, and customer-specific standards.
Audit Coordination:
Plan and execute internal and external audits (system, process, product) and support third-party certification audits.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement quality system improvements through structured change management and root cause analysis.
Training & Capability:
Support internal auditor training, and develop site competencies in quality tools, standards, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 3–6 years of experience in quality systems within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001/14001/45001, and customer-specific requirements. Experience coordinating audits and maintaining certification readiness. Proficient in quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, document control systems).
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Based in Ohio or nearby regions (e.g., Michigan) for site accessibility. Hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in manufacturing environments. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
