Quality Assurance Assistant Manager
Location: Hyundai MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe).
Summary The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager will monitor and evaluate product quality, performing quality checks on incoming sub‑parts, in‑process and final products to meet standards and regulations. They will develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, inspections and quality tests.
Essential Functions
Maintain accurate documentation of quality control processes and procedures, including control plans, work instructions, and special characteristics management plans based on updated FMEA.
Analyze, evaluate, and present information on production capabilities, quality issue trends, customer complaints and 4M changes.
Develop a training plan for quality inspectors on corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.
Investigate and analyze quality control problems, develop and implement corrective and preventative actions, and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
Communicate quality‑related issues and initiatives to other departments, management, and customers, and work with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met.
Support Quality Engineering initiatives to enhance overall product and process quality.
Cooperate with management to formulate and establish company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
Participate in process improvement teams, develop and implement improvement plans, and monitor effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.
Coordinate and perform process audits for supplier qualifications or process changes.
Comply with and promote workplace safety.
Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a related area with strong preference in quality, mechanical, electrical or manufacturing.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of implementing and maintaining QM systems and auditing/assessment of internal and external suppliers and customers.
Knowledgeable in training techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Education & Experience
Working knowledge of Six Sigma Black/Green Belt.
Years of quality experience in the automotive industry.
Bilingual (English/Korean) is preferred but not required.
Job Type Full-time, on-site.
Travel Requirement Domestic / International travel required.
Expected Start Date Negotiable.
