About Our EMS Network American Ambulance Service, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Hartford HealthCare EMS Network, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary EMS system which includes licensed EMS agencies, hospital‑based paramedic response resources, air‑medical response resources, education and research, and hospital‑based coordinators and medical directors.
Our headquarters is located in Norwich, CT and we have additional offices in Griswold, Ledyard, and at Foxwoods Resort Casino. American Ambulance provides a full range of emergent and non‑emergent medical transportation services by highly trained professionals to ensure safe, quick, and compassionate patient care.
Your Impact The Operations Manager is responsible for overall direction, planning, implementation, and maintenance of ambulance transport and paramedic intercept services to communities and facilities served by American Ambulance. The Ops Manager is accountable for the oversight of their assigned supervisors, EMTs and paramedics, dispatchers and schedulers. They will provide leadership coaching and development for the Operations Supervisors. They are responsible for developing policies and practices related to emergency medical and rescue operations, mentoring, training, public education, community relations and coordination, disaster management, communications and other organizational functions as identified by the Director of Operations. The Operations Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the operations work schedule in cooperation with the Operations Supervisors.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an accredited paramedic program OR an associates degree
Current State of Connecticut Paramedic license or EMT Certification
State of Connecticut certified EMS Instructor
Valid Driver’s License and an excellent driving record
6+ years of EMS experience
3+ years of supervisory experience
