Overview
Operations Technical Specialist, E&S Casualty. Ascot US is seeking an Operations Technical Specialist to support and manage workflows between multiple departments. The role collaborates with underwriting and other key business partners to transform underwriting elements into finished and standardized documents for insureds. The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry, be a creative problem-solver with system navigation skills, and possess strong attention to detail. Responsibilities
Manage workflow of an assigned underwriting business unit(s). Leverage standardized workflows and compliance guidelines to understand and improve business processes. Identify areas for improvement, create and implement solutions as needed. Provide support to assigned underwriters and brokers throughout the policy lifecycle (clearance, binders, invoices, policies, endorsements, cancellations, renewals, non-renewals, reinstatements). Ensure files meet compliance standards and that work is processed accurately and per Service Level Agreements. Draft and issue policy documents. Provide ongoing guidance and training to the offshore shared service team and conduct quality checks. Collaborate with the offshore team/service center; assist with midterm endorsements and ensure timely, accurate processing of information. Communicate effectively with the underwriting team to obtain necessary information for processing work. Support ad hoc projects as required and demonstrate The Ascot Way in daily interactions. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (or internships) preferred. Must be positive, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Highly customer-centric internally and externally. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced, team-centric environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and general computer skills). This position may be filled at a different level, depending on experience This role is a hybrid in-office position Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is one component of Ascot’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and discretionary compensation. Salary range: $55,000-$65,000 Company Benefits
