Supervisor VI - (CDM) Chargemaster/Projects -Corporate-Full-Time Days
Assist with supervising CDM’s coding team daily operations. This includes working assigned edits & WQs, ensuring quality coding assessments from coding staff and determine the priorities of the dept.’s WQs to avoid delinquent accounts or untimely filing. Description
Supervisor VI - (CDM) Chargemaster/Projects -Corporate-Full-Time Days
Assist with supervising CDM’s coding team daily operations. This includes working assigned edits & WQs, ensuring quality coding assessments from coding staff and determine the priorities of the dept.’s WQs to avoid delinquent accounts or untimely filing.
Responsibilities
Document standard operating policies and procedures for various Trac buckets and WQs that will aid the coders in the quality and consistency of their coding assessments. Serve as an expert resource for the coding staff by performing random quality and productivity reviews and share findings with Director and staff for performance improvement. Review accounts in various WQs to identify coding errors, denial patterns and troubleshoot root causes, if/when needed. Assist with reviewing and maintaining claim edits and identify edit discrepancies based on coding guidelines and make recommendations to Associate Director for updates and changes. Work with Associate Director to implement and maintain on-going coding educational sessions that address coding edits from various depts., medical necessity and documentation gaps. Work in affiliation with PFS, HIM, and clinics to resolve coding edits, as needed Remain abreast of coding changes from ICD-10- CM/PCS, AMA, AHA, CMS, NGS by reviewing policies, manuals and bulletins and other relevant resources and share the information with the staff. Assist in training current and new employees on the use of systems and departmental policies and procedures Assist with conducting other supervisory related duties such as timekeeping and monitor various Epic training required by the coders.
Qualifications
Assoicate Degree. Bachelor?s Degree Preferred or equivalent working experience required. 5 years of directly related experience with 1 year in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. At least 5-7 years of managerial or supervisory coding experience with extensive knowledge of various coding edits In-depth knowledge of the coding process, coding systems software, workflow management, and excellent navigation of electronic medical records Experience and working knowledge of various Health Insurance including CMS guidelines Advanced knowledge of the ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding systems and conventions Thorough understanding of hospital coding and billing rules Previous experience with EPIC EMR system Strong clinical and analytical skills to evaluate appropriate Medical Record Coding Currently credentialed as CPC and/or CCS certifications with coding experience (as noted above) required and must be maintained

The salary range for the role is $64747.28 - $97790 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
