Huntsman is seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist supporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, Texas. The position reports to the Technical Manager.
Job Scope With responsibility for supporting critical quality activities within the Conroe manufacturing site, we are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist with 10+ years in chemical or process manufacturing. The Sr. level role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end quality and regulatory compliance across the facility, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, FMEA, and SAP QM.
Key Responsibilities
Act as SME on site quality systems and procedures, driving standardization, compliance, and alignment with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 31000:2018, and IATF 16949 standards.
Develop and implement SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, and Audit Ready Documents.
Maintain the quality management system, review the quality manual and procedures, and recommend improvements.
Facilitate management review meetings and ensure all actions are closed within the accepted timeline.
Maintain and optimize the SAP QM module for quality planning, supporting NPI, traceability, and data integrity.
Integrate SAP QM with other modules and external systems for seamless quality control workflow.
Provide SAP QM technical support for Huntsman sites such as Freeport, Pensacola, and Ringwood.
Represent the site for ISO 9001, 17025, 14001, and 31000 audits; prepare for and manage all audit activities.
Own CAPA activities, including 5‑Whys, 8Ds, Fishbone, and trend monitoring.
Run FMEA across all portfolios, develop risk management tools, and train staff on FMEA methodology.
Lead cross‑functional FMEA teams for new processes, products, and plant changes.
Support digitalization and automation of testing processes in production and laboratory, ensuring seamless data capture and analysis.
Perform general duties as assigned, support company goals, participate in training, and engage in environmental, health, & safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent with 10+ years of auditing and root‑cause investigation experience.
Or Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
Degrees in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering are preferred.
Experience with FMEA, CAPA, RCA, and ISO 9001 is required.
Proficiency in SAP QM is desired.
