Job Story In a hangar adjacent to McConnell AFB that once housed Boeing Air Force One modification facilities, the MRO team at NIAR WERX provides production design, initial and Supplemental Type Certification, instrumentation installation, modifications and field support/repair. We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team! Job Summary

Ensures airworthiness quality requirements are performed and documented in accordance with applicable regulations. Performs inspections necessary to determine that the parts or materials meet their required specifications, with appropriate documentation and are in acceptable condition. Essential Functions

Performs receiving visual and detailed inspections to determine the condition in accordance with appropriate and required policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, aircraft, engines, parts, components, tools, equipment, and/or materials. Upon receipt, verifies components, equipment and tooling are overhauled, calibrated and repaired by applicable vendors. Ensures proper identification and documentation of parts, materials and supplies during receiving inspection, and that processes are followed for rejecting items during inspection. Prepares and maintains required documentation. Research aircraft drawings and technical data as required. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent by date of hire.

Three (3) Years Of Aircraft Maintenance Experience Required. Required License/Certifications/Training

Airframe and Powerplant Certificates required by date of hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge in structural repair and modification, sheet metal fabrication, general aircraft maintenance, and avionics and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, specifications, and maintenance manuals. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Ability to read, write, and understand the English language. Ability to apply planning and problem solving to resolve issues and meet commitments. Ability to utilize strategic thinking in making decisions in the context of business objectives. Ability to work as a team player to achieve results. Demonstrated attitude of Do the Right Thing in completing work and making change happen to achieve objectives. Ability to satisfy internal/external customer expectations and develop partnerships. Ability to develop self and others to be and do their best. Ability to use a variety of measuring tools and basic hand tools with ability to interpret/operate test equipment. Ability to interpret/process regulatory documents, actions and requirements (FAR, CAA, RSM/QCM, FAA, AD, SB, CFR, TCDS, etc.). Basic knowledge of aircraft inspection programs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Thorough knowledge of return-to-service procedures. Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written English form as defined by regulations with appropriate etiquette and decorum to represent the Quality Department in a professional manner at all times. Ability to coach and mentor fellow employees in performance of their duties in areas of qualification. Physical Requirements

Ability to position self for inspection, construction or maintenance of equipment and/or buildings including confined, elevated and loud noise spaces. Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to interpret effectively, accurately and impartially, both receptively and expressively. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to move or traverse across campus, within buildings and offices, and/or across external environments. Ability to inspect work, materials, equipment, and/or supplies and identify any errors, needs, and/or determining factors. Ability to ascend and descend ladders and/or stairs.
