As the Operations Supervisor at Belt Power, LLC, you will be responsible for customization and fabrication of conveyor belts received from customer specifications, either in-house or at the customer’s site. You will specialize in belt fabrication, inventory management, shipping/receiving, conveyor maintenance and repair. Responsibilities
Build, repair, and install conveyor belts and conveyor belt components, ensuring high-quality standards. Install and vulcanize lightweight conveyor belting as required for customer installations. Fabricate, install, and repair conveyor belts to meet customer specifications and timelines. Coordinate and manage service work. Contact customers to confirm service appointments, ensuring work is completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction. Prioritize all work-orders associated with fabrication/installation services, field jobs, rush orders, projects, equipment maintenance and house cleaning to achieve department goals. Receive, verify, and manage incoming parts, materials, and supplies. Maintain an organized inventory and stock areas, ensuring parts and supplies are readily available for fabrication and service work. Follow sales orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials. Schedule pre-install and post-install calls with customers to improve overall satisfaction and ensure expectations are met. Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure quality, resolve issues, and gather feedback. Foster strong relationships with customers at the maintenance level to promote additional service and sales opportunities. Maintain production schedule and manage the emergency on-call phone. Approve team members’ time cards. Develop, implement, measure, and execute belt shop programs. Ensure high levels of customer quality measured by on-time delivery, quality fabrication, and industry-leading service (including at customer sites). Determine metrics, evaluate performance, and provide continuous improvement coaching to direct reports and team members. Train all employees on proper equipment operations, company tools, and SOPs to perform their job functions. Manage consumable stock. Respect, protect, and support the company culture. Observe all prescribed safety rules and maintain a neat and orderly work area. Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required. Represent Belt Power professionally at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements
3 or more years of proven conveyor belt field experience, including belt splicing. 2 or more years of proven experience managing field jobs, including a team. Licensed forklift operator, preferred. OSHA 10 certification, preferred. Strong professional and leadership skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand measurements. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret and verify precise measurements. Teamwork, leadership, and flexibility; sense of urgency. Overtime hours and weekend work may be required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; capable of driving a large pickup truck and/or van. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. High School Degree or Equivalent required. Desired Characteristics
Ability to adapt to changing situations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong mechanical background. Physical Demands
The Operations Supervisor may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. May be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods. Work Environment
Regular exposure to moving and mechanical parts and equipment with potentially loud noise levels. Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position in a shop and at customer sites. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5pm, with frequent after-hours and weekend work and potential for overtime pay. Pay Range
