We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner II to join our team, playing a critical role in managing the flow of materials throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) reviews and maintain strict revision control within the ERP system. Manage the creation and processing of sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions/purchase orders. Allocate raw and finished goods to meet production and delivery schedules. Monitor material levels to prevent shortages and scheduling delays. Support and maintain firm planned, released, and in-shop manufacturing orders to ensure seamless production operations. Identify and resolve material and scheduling issues promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute supply chain schedules. Develop and maintain efficient supply chain schedules for optimal order and delivery planning. Ensure timely and accurate planning of orders and deliveries to meet customer demands and production needs. Utilize MRP systems to plan and control inventory, production, and procurement activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 2+ years of relevant experience A higher level degree may substitute for experience Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education Exposure to the engineering change process Basic understanding of master production planning Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Familiarity with applicable manufacturing drawings Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Program Management Technical/Engineering degree Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as it applies to Supplier Management Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Experience in Supply Chain Management and /or Operations Management Understanding of Unified Commercial Code (UCC) Experience in Microsoft Office Experience in digital tooling applications SNC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to an environment free of discrimination.
