Overview
Buyer Associate salary range: $40,000 - $42,000 per year. The Buyer Associate supports purchasing and inventory control by managing vendor relationships, monitoring supply needs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials for production. This role works within the ERP system (Macola) to process orders, maintain supplier data, and assist in daily procurement activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in supply chain and purchasing operations. Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with vendors under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager. Review requisitions, release purchase orders, and manage replenishment needs. Monitor production schedules to ensure components arrive on time; expedite orders when necessary. Maintain accurate purchasing data including pricing, lead times, and product details. Track and replenish office and production supply inventories. Support Quality Control with supplier returns and help resolve delivery or inventory issues. Provide quotes for the sales team and update shortage reports. Drive improvements in sourcing, supplier performance, and cost efficiency. Anticipate and mitigate potential supply chain risks while maintaining inventory levels that meet company goals. Qualifications
Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 1-2 years of purchasing, supply chain, or inventory control experience preferred. Proficiency with ERP systems (Macola experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for working with vendors and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Seniority level
