Relocation support may be available. This position is responsible for the maintenance of all medium and high voltage electrical assets in the EGPNA O&M fleet. The Manager, Electrical Maintenance will focus on planning and execution to maximize generation and availability. They will lead a team of engineers and specialists, and report directly to the Head of Cross Technical Services. What You'll Do at Enel North America
Overall responsibility for the performance of MV/HV Electrical Assets. OPEX and CapEx budgeting and control. Overall management of the MV/HV infrastructure onsite and remote operations. Provide technical support in resolving codes and standards issues (NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E, ANSI, UL, IEC, CSA). Development of processes and procedures to safely and effectively operate and maintain the EGPNA Wind O&M fleet. Provide engineering consulting support to other areas of the organization, including Construction and Power Marketing. Manage, with the support of the EGPNA EHS department, an effective EHS program in accordance with all EGPNA policies, applicable laws and regulations and permits. Work with the Maintenance Planning team to develop and manage the implementation of a strategy for maintenance activities. Manage contracts with third parties, major repairs and capital improvements to ensure maximum project availability and profitability. Establish a long-range regional plan and budget, and report to the Head of Cross Technical Services and heads of the various technologies. Identify methods to increase project efficiency and reliability and implement capital improvement projects to increase project profitability. Ensure all maintenance is performed within regulatory guidelines, including meeting all applicable NERC Reliability Standards. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applicable NERC Reliability Standards. MV/HV infrastructure inventory management and optimization. Interface with Head of Cross Technical Services to develop yearly and multi-year maintenance plans. Interface with Operations Support for plant performance analysis and action plans. Interface with Control Room Manager for HV/MV electrical infrastructure remote operations and maintenance. Manage the relationship with NERC to ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines. Who You Are
Ability to work independently; on-call or off-hours as needed. Strong budgeting knowledge; detailed understanding of budgeting processes. Strong scheduling and planning abilities with flexibility as conditions change. Personnel management and change management skills. Able to interpret technical, legal documents and agreements. 30% travel required (domestic). Mental functions: problem solving, timely decision-making, time management, coordinating, instructing. Technical skills: strong knowledge of power plant maintenance and operations; data and failure analysis; calculations and documentation. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and Arc Flash requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; IT tools: Word, Project, Excel (including macros), PowerPoint. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. A clean driving record means: in the last 3 years, no driving-related suspensions, revocations or disqualifying offenses; no more than 2 moving violations; no reckless driving incidents. In the last 5 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accidents. What You've Accomplished
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Power Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. A Master's degree counts toward years of experience. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical high voltage maintenance. The hiring range for this position is $136,800.00 - $188,000 a year. For remote positions, this is based on national averages; actual range may vary by location. Base pay is one part of total compensation.
