Since 1996, RQ Construction, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We have a national and international presence spanning coast to coast, including U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and now, Puerto Rico. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are seeking a Framing & Drywall Foreman to join our Self-Perform team for construction projects located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The Framing & Drywall Foreman is responsible for the layout and construction of framing and drywall installations on large industrial projects. The foreman will oversee a crew of framing and drywall installers to ensure all work is completed within the scope of the project. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
$20-25ph, DOE, Comprehensive Benefit Package
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
Two or more years of work experience in a Framing/Drywall Foreman position (e.g. Scheduling, ordering, field supervision, safety, and production) over framing/drywall trades on medium or large projects. Foreman experience in multiple trades (eg concrete, framing/drywall, earthwork, masonry, carpentry, and MEP trades) is a plus.
Five or more years (or equivalent) of field or trade work in construction (drywall preferred) high desirable. Experience in the government, military, or large commercial construction preferred.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) preferred. Training can be provided.
CPR, First Aid Certification required; OSHA 30-hour Certification, EM-385 and STS required; Training can be provided.
Spanish-English bilingual skills preferred.
EDUCACION Y EXPERIENCIA:
Para este puesto se requiere como mínimo un título de secundaria o GED.
Dos o más años de experiencia laboral en un puesto de capataz de enmarcado/paneles de yeso (por ejemplo, programar, pedidos, supervisión de campo, seguridad y producción) en trabajos de enmarcado/paneles de yeso en proyectos medianos o grandes.
Se valorará la experiencia como capataz en múltiples oficios (por ejemplo, hormigón, encofrado/paneles de yeso, movimiento de tierras, albañilería, carpintería y oficios MEP).
Se valorará muy positivamente contar con cinco o más años (o equivalente) de experiencia en el campo o en oficios relacionados con la construcción (preferiblemente paneles de yeso).
Se valorará la experiencia en la construcción gubernamental, militar o comercial a gran escala.
Se valorarán conocimientos de informática (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.). Se puede proporcionar formación.
Se requiere certificación en RCP y primeros auxilios;
se requiere certificación OSHA de 30 horas, EM-385 y STS; se puede proporcionar formación.
Se valorarán habilidades bilingües en español e inglés.
