Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. Our client is a rapidly scaling clean energy company, backed by leading investors. They are developing breakthrough technology to decarbonize industrial supply chains, with applications in energy transition fuels. This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious, venture-backed business at a pivotal stage. The Role
We are seeking a Head of Projects to lead the delivery of major capital projects. This is a hands-on leadership role driving projects from conceptual design through construction, commissioning, and handover. The right candidate blends project management expertise with a general contracting / construction execution background — someone who knows how to steer a project through FEL/FEED/FID, while also understanding what it takes to get it built on the ground. What You’ll Do
Lead projects through the full stage-gate process (FEL-1 to FID). Own the Project Execution Plan including contracting strategy, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Drive cost estimating, project controls, budgeting, and forecasting. Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction execution. Manage EPC and general contractor partners to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Oversee permitting, site selection, and regulatory compliance. Lead construction, commissioning, and startup, ensuring seamless transition to operations. Build scalable project management processes for future growth. What You Bring
5–15+ years’ experience in industrial capital project execution ($50M–$400M). Strong background in general contracting / construction management, ideally with hands-on site experience. Proven track record in refinery, petrochemical, LNG, hydrogen, or other process/industrial facilities. Expertise in cost estimating, budgeting, and project controls. Experience managing EPC/EPCM contracts. Strong knowledge of FEL/FEED/FID stage-gated processes. Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, contractors, and stakeholders. A “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Why This Role?
This isn’t a typical corporate projects role. It’s an opportunity to: Shape the build-out of pioneering technology that will change how energy and materials are produced. Work at the intersection of cutting-edge science and heavy industrial execution. Be part of a scaling venture where your decisions directly impact growth. Lead career-defining projects — complex, capital-intensive builds with global significance. Join a team that values speed, pragmatism, and collaboration over red tape. What’s on Offer
