Job Summary
The QHSE Manager is responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at a given station with the objective of being the Champion of Safety and reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage. The Station Safety Manager will report directly to the QHSE Regional Manager and will require a strong focus on partnership with the station leadership team. The expected pay rate is $65,000 - $75,000/yearly. Be a champion for Safety above all. Win as a Team, Do the Right Thing, Show You Care. Conduct and/or assist accident/incident investigations, as required. Coordinate safety and quality initiatives and safety promotions. Review station employee injury trends and suggest corrective action plans to station leadership. Review aircraft damage and suggest corrective action plans to station leadership. Conduct risk assessments as directed and ensure risk assessments are completed. Review and coordinate the Quality Management System completeness and ensure the system is kept current. Provide station leadership with periodic progress reports, audit schedules, and assessments of safety and quality programs. Complete projects/assignments as directed by the Regional QHSE Manager. Provide reports (as required) to HOA/Region/Station regarding trends, performance, gaps, etc., or other reports as directed. Host/coordinate/attend monthly safety meetings with station leadership and document actions taken and progress. Establish, then host/coordinate/attend a quarterly employee safety committee. Post safety information from local, corporate, and customer communications; maintain safety boards with current information. Participate in daily briefings; provide peer-to-peer coaching. Assist with audits and inspections in accordance with the Swissport NAA audit program and carrier programs. Assist in the preparation and publishing of regular safety and operational briefings. Assist in the analysis and evaluation of audit findings, comprehensive fixes, and trends. Communicate daily with station leadership to coordinate tasks and communicate safety findings/concerns. Attend training classes, meetings, and inputs, internally and externally for continued education; acquire and maintain initial and recurrent training in the line of business assigned. On occasion perform a shift on the front line to maintain skills and understand risks and barriers preventing SOP adherence. Other duties assigned by QHSE leadership. Qualifications And Competencies
Willingness to travel, up to 10% Experience with ramp operations 1+ years' experience in a leadership role Experience in conducting investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) Bachelor’s Degree in any QHSE discipline (preferred) CSP, ASP, or CIH Certification (preferred) OSHA-30 (preferred) ISO Lead Auditor (preferred) Self-starter with ability to prioritize and organize targeted projects Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and maintain team spirit Public speaking and presentation skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Open-minded with a commitment to continual improvement Ability to balance strategic and tactical tasks and deliver results under tight deadlines Computer literate with proficiency in MS-Office Team player and leader What We Offer
