About The Position The Card Coordinator coordinates the ATM/Debit and Credit card plastics operations, researches and resolves member card issues, investigates and processes member card disputes, ensures members are promptly and professionally served, and actively cross‑sells Credit Union services.
Essential Functions & Basic Duties
Assumes responsibility for the efficient and effective operations of the card department.
Works closely with internal and external members to resolve questions and/or issues with cards.
Monitors plastic card inventory.
Monitors and responds to various reports, including but not limited to:
Lost/Stolen Cards
Settlements
Disputes
Monitors and responds to core system card reports, including but not limited to:
Address Change Report - Cards
Credit Card Negative Balance
Non‑Activated Cards
Card Re‑issue Report
ATM File Update Manager Exceptions
Card Order Exceptions
Prepares periodic reports on card activity as requested.
Processes cards returned to TruPartner as 'undeliverable'.
Responds to Compromised Card Alerts
Contacts members to inform them cards have been returned.
Obtains correct mailing information. Investigates and processes card disputes.
Processes disputes in a timely and accurate manner.
Follows Reg E dispute regulations.
Follows internal dispute processing procedures.
Keeps members informed of dispute status.
Responds to members' questions regarding disputes.
Monitors care and core system Dispute reports to ensure timely responses.
Reviews reports.
Notifies members, orders new cards, blocks compromised cards if necessary.
Additional Duties
Resolves members' requests and questions promptly and courteously.
Keeps members properly informed of Credit Union policies and procedures.
Ensures the Credit Union's professional reputation is projected and maintained.
Actively and professionally cross‑sells Credit Union products and services.
Communication & Coordination with Co‑workers and Management
Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Provides suggestions for improved service.
Attends meetings as required.
Assists area personnel as needed.
Assists in training and cross‑training co‑workers.
Ensures proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work area, desks, equipment, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
