As a part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. You will lead by example and maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members. Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have. Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area. Receive & stock merchandise in an organized manner. Maintain inventory so that there is no out of stock and over-stock products. Be a Team Member: maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, and be flexible to business needs. Be an Expert: understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make decisions related to production, training, and product quality. Be an Owner: drive area performance, stock and rotate department products using perpetual inventory techniques, ensure quality and date control, eliminate waste, assist customers per company policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area and modeling high quality service and products; demonstrate energy and commitment. Comply with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy in business processes. Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; manage priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and improvements.
