About the Client:
Metric is partnered with a leading manufacturer of stainless steel process systems, sanitary tanks, and turnkey production solutions serving the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. This organization collaborates closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms to deliver large-scale, code-compliant processing systems for major production facilities across North America.
About the Role:
This role is designed for a strategic, relationship-driven business development professional who excels in long-cycle capital project sales. You will focus on identifying, engaging, and influencing EPC firms responsible for large-scale food and beverage facility builds. The position centers on winning specifications, shaping project scope alongside engineering partners, and driving multi-million-dollar equipment sales.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop relationships with EPC firms executing major food, beverage, and sanitary processing facility projects across North America.
Leverage industry network and targeted outreach to connect with project directors, engineering leads, and procurement teams.
Position the company’s sanitary tanks, CIP systems, process skids, and integrated process solutions as preferred project specifications.
Collaborate during FEED and detailed engineering phases to support scope, sizing, and technical clarification of equipment packages.
Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive recurring project wins and long-term EPC partnerships.
Represent the organization at key industry trade shows and EPC partner events.
Work closely with internal engineering, estimating, and sales teams to develop proposals, quotations, and technical submittals.
Qualifications
5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally within capital equipment or engineered process systems.
Experience selling into or working alongside EPC firms delivering large-scale food & beverage projects.
Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, sanitary design standards, and technical specifications.
Strong relationship-building capabilities with a hunter mindset for opening new EPC partnerships.
Self-driven and able to work independently while collaborating across technical and commercial teams.
Preferred experience in brewery, dairy, beverage, or sanitary processing environments.
